GETAWAYS ONE HOUR FROM MADRID CENTRO

Coming to the center has the charm of knowing the heart of Madrid and also to know and enjoy the wonders that surround the city, within walking distance. Many of these wonderful places are World Heritage Sites, full of our history and culture, with the advantage of being just an hour away from our apartments. TOLEDO

It´s located one hour car distance from the center or Madrid. Toledo is such a beautiful city, it is actually an ancient spanish capital. It´s full of magical corners with an impressive historical downtown full of bars for “tapas”. You can also visit the chapel where you can enjoy the fresco painting “El entierro del Conde de Orgaz” done by El Greco and enjoy sightseeing in downtown.

SEGOVIA

Segovia is a city full of ancient history, which origin dates back to Celtiberian tribes, who built it in a craggy rock made of limestone. With its famous roman aqueduct and fairytale castle, it´s highly recommended to visit if you travel to Madrid. It is located one hour and a half away from Madrid and i´ts really worth it. The Great Roman Aqueduct of Segovia is the most important of the Iberian Peninsula, it´s a loved and broadly known monument by both the segovians and of course, the visitors.

SALAMANCA

Salamanca is located two hours car distance from the center o Madrid, but when you get there, it really feels like its a world apart. This is a UNESCO World Heritage city and one of Spain’s most beautiful spots, as well. Its elegant architecture and its fascinating ancient history offer the visitors so much to discover extraordinary sights, the Plaza Mayor, the University and the student life, tapas, restaurants, shopping, and more.

EL ESCORIAL

El Escorial it´s very near to Madrid. It takes about 30 minutes to get there by car. It hosts the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, an impressive complex that includes a royal palace, a basilica, a pantheon, a library and much more inside. It is also set in a such a charming town near the mountains of Madrid, with beautiful natural surroundings.

ARANJUEZ

Aranjuez is a gorgeous touristic town located 45 minutes car distance from the center of Madrid. The town is located in the south of Madrid and it is worth it to know due to its classical architecture and beautiful restaurants. In Aranjuez are placed treasures like the wonderful summer Royal Palace, the little House of the farmer and the Garden of the Prince of Spain. It´s mandatory to take pictures and if you go on the season, buy some strawberrys planted in the city.
